Our Mission
The Organization of Student Representatives (OSR) represents medical students nationwide and provides an active role for students in advancing the AAMC mission to improve the nation’s health. Additionally, the OSR seeks to ensure that students actively participate in directing their education, preserving their rights, and delineating their professional responsibilities. To this end, the OSR gives medical students a voice in academic medicine at the national level and strives to foster student involvement and awareness in this arena at a local level.
In addition, OSR at Quillen acts as a student government organizing fundraisers, events, and providing a liaison between the faculty and students.

Upcoming events
The Halloweenie Roast is an event organized for M1 students. Each year there is a costume and pumpkin carving contest.
The Chili Cookoff is organized to support Woodridge Hospital. Students and faculty sign up to make chili and there is a voting contest during lunch where students and faculty purchase tickets to taste all the chili. In 2014, there were 50 bowls of chili! All proceeds benefited the children's psychiatric unit and with these proceeds OSR purchased clothes, toys, and other items requested by the unit.

This past year OSR organized the first edition of the Quillen Family Cookbook to support One Acre Cafe.
One Acre Cafe was established to further address the escalating issues of hunger and food insecurity in our community. They offer our community healthy and nutritious food in a warm and inviting space even if those cannot afford it. Through OSR and a cookbook committee made up of the Class of 2018, The Quillen Family Cookbook was made. The recipes are from faculty, staff, and students and all proceeds benefited One Acre Cafe.
