    Our Mission

Quillen High School Outreach Program exists to benefit the long-term health of individuals in Southeastern Appalachia by encouraging regional high school students to pursue careers in healthcare, with a focus on medicine.  Through sharing the experiences of professional students who have been in their shoes, QHOP members visit regional high schools and speak to classes about opportunities to become involved in the health careers as well as programs of study in health-related fields that are offered through ETSU.  Finally, students represented by each college within the Academic Health Sciences Center will participate in the annual Health Careers Leadership Summit to be held in the spring semester for forty high school applicants to gain experience relevant to each field.
